8 Ideas to Throw the Coolest Ice Cream Party
Chilled ice cream on a summer afternoon can be the only thing to make anyone happy. We know how ecstatic we become whenever we get invited to an ice cream party. So why not throw your own ice cream party this summer season? Here are some ideas to inspire you to throw the best ice cream party.
Craft Ice Cream Balloons
Your walls and ceiling should have elements of ice cream decor to look fantastic and pretty. For your walls, you can make a DIY popsicle garland or ice cream cone balloons.
Here are the items you will need to make an ice cream cone balloon:
- Scrapbook papers
- Sharpie
- Crepe paper
- Balloons
- Double-sided tape
- Scissors
Take the scrapbook paper and draw columns and rows on it so that small boxes of equal size are removed. Next, start cutting the paper from the top left side and end on the bottom right side in a curve shape. Make sure the part that’s cut out should be lesser, so you have a cone-like shape. Next, fold the paper into a cone and attach it with double-sided tape.
Blow a balloon and put it in the space left at the top of the cone. Attach it in place with double-sided tape. Now take a long crepe paper, fold it two to three times, and cut fringes out of it. Unfold it and wrap it around the scrapbook paper cone. Add more layers of crepe paper fringes, and they are ready to be placed on your wall.
Make Homemade Popsicles
Popsicles are a perfect summer treat. Everyone from kids to adults loves homemade fruit popsicles that are a little sweet, tangy, and a lot more refreshing. Follow these two recipes to make some perfectly refreshing popsicles for your next ice cream party.
Strawberry and Mango Popsicles
Mangoes and strawberries taste great together in a popsicle. The best part about making these popsicles is that they can be made with frozen and fresh fruits.
Here’s a short list of things you will need:
- Food processor
- Popsicles tray
- Ice cream sticks
- Strawberries (12-15)
- Mangoes (2 large, ripe)
Start out by pureeing mangoes in a food processor. Take out the puree and clean the food processor for further use. Now make a puree of strawberries. There is no need to add sugar to the puree because the natural sweetness of fruits is enough to give the best taste.
In the popsicles tray, pour a layer of mango puree and a layer of strawberry puree. Add another layer of mango puree on top. Cover with a lid, insert ice cream sticks, and toss them in the freezer for about 5-6 hours.
Lemonade and Fruit Popsicles
You should make these popsicles because they are easy to make but equally delicious.
Just make lemonade at home with fresh lemon juice and sugar syrup. Put sliced fresh fruit in the popsicles tray and pour lemonade onto the top. Toss them in the freezer and enjoy them when they are well frozen.
If you don’t have a popsicle tray, you can use mini plastic cups as an alternative.

Play Around with Toppings
If you plan to build your own sundae bar, toppings will help you play with different flavors and develop new tastes in ice cream. You can have toppings like crushed Oreos, chocolate shavings (preferably crushed Kitkat chocolate), strawberry puree, whipped cream, chopped roasted almonds and walnuts, caramel, and chocolate sauce, sprinkles, peanut butter, or fresh fruit.
Put these different toppings in mini plastic cups with pretty mini plastic cutlery for an elegant display on your sundae bar.
It would be even better to give your guests the freedom to mix different flavors and toppings so they can have fun putting their favorite toppings on their ice creams.
Give Your Guests Some Ice Cream Inspo
Speaking of letting the guests make their own ice creams, we bring you another interesting idea for your ice cream party. First, print out some recipe cards for ice creams and display them on your sundae bar. Then, let the guests look at the recipe cards and make their own ice cream by mixing different flavors and toppings.
