Easy Homemade Hot Fudge Sauce
Ingredients:
4 ounces unsweetened chocolate chips
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
2/3 cup water
1/3 cup sugar
6 tablespoons honey
Pinch of salt
1 tablespoon vanilla
Directions: Melt the chocolate chips and butter carefully in the microwave, stirring often until completely smooth (I did this in the pyrex measuring cup that I previously measured and weighed the chocolate chips in). While the chocolate and butter is melting, bring the water to a steady boil in a saucepan. Once the chocolate and butter have melted, stir the chocolate mixture into the boiling water. Add the sugar, honey and salt and mix until completely smooth, scraping down the edges of the saucepan. Turn up the heat and let the sauce boil gently for nine minutes. Remove from heat and let sit for 15 minutes. Add in the vanilla and serve warm over ice cream, brownies, or really, anything.
