Saucy Asian Meatballs Recipe
Asian cuisine dishes are prepared with fresh and healthy ingredients. The meals of Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Indian cuisine mainly consist of vegetables and fish, which makes the meals extraordinarily light and pleasant for the stomach. Rice is undoubtedly the most famous food in Asian cuisine, but not the only one. Nutritionists recommend including noodles, green tea, coconut milk, fish, and soy sauce in our diet. People of Asia do not look at food as calories but as foods full of valuable nutrients. They try not to have dinner late and have a lovely tradition of eating with family or in the company.
Superbowl parties are synonymous with finger foods. Keep the tradition alive with these easy-to-eat, one-bite Saucy Asian Meatballs.
Ingredients:
Meatball Ingredients:
- 2 lbs. ground pork or ground beef
- 2 tsp. sesame oil
- 1 cup Panko or breadcrumbs
- 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
- 2 eggs
- 3 tsp. minced garlic
- 1/2 cup thinly-sliced green onions
- optional garnish: toasted sesame seeds, sliced scallions
Asian Sauce Ingredients:
- 2/3 cup hoisin sauce
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 tsp. sesame oil
- 1 tsp. ground ginger
(Tips: add about 1/4 C Kikkoman Teriyaki glaze and about 1/4 C brown sugar to the sauce to help produce a more sweet taste- many have complained that the hoisin sauce & sesame oil overpowers the sauce and is too strong otherwise. Also, go easy on the hoisin sauce and sesame oil if you desire a less intense taste)
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 400.
In a large bowl, mix meatball ingredients until well-combined. Shape into balls (I made mine about 1.5 inches, which yielded about 35 meatballs, but 1 inch is probably standard), and place on a greased baking sheet or in a 9x13-inch baking dish. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until meatballs are golden and no longer pink on the inside. (TIP: DON'T OVERBAKE! They will dry out! At 400 degrees, they will brown quickly on the middle rack.)
While the meatballs are baking, whisk together the sauce ingredients until blended. Once meatballs have finished cooking, you can dip each meatball individually (using a toothpick) in the sauce mixture. Or you can pour the sauce over the meatballs and gently stir them until covered.
Place a Bamboo Mini Cocktail Fork in each meatball for easy eating. Best served warm on a White Rectangular Wave Tray or serve individual servings on White Plastic Saucers and sprinkle with additional garnish if desired.

Why Asian Cuisine?
Whether you are a "fan" of exotic and different dishes and drinks or not, one thing is sure - at least one meal or at least one food item from Asian cuisine will satisfy you entirely, and you love to consume it.
Asian cuisine is full of very healthy dishes. It contains a lot of vegetables and fish, which is undoubtedly the most significant advantage, and besides, such food is incredibly light. "Asian cuisine" refers to Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and some Indian food. The common denominator of all those countries and cuisines is rice, but along with it, you need to know some other excellent foods.
What Is the Best Thing to Eat From Asian Cuisine, and What Is the Healthiest Thing on Their Grocery List?
Noodles - it doesn't matter if they are glass, rice, or maybe Shirataki noodles made from konjac flour. The only important thing is that this pasta is exceptionally light, with a slightly lower proportion of carbohydrates than wheat pasta. It is ready very quickly and is suitable for processing in a wok or pan.
Coconut Milk: Coconut milk is a very common food in the Far East. Coconut milk gives fullness and a creamy texture to spicy soups and curry dishes.
Fish Sauce - fish sauces have a unique salty taste and a strong fishy smell that slowly disappears when cooked, leaving a full flavor in the dish.
Soy Sauce - is rich in amino acids, therefore, a good source of proteins. In addition, it also contains microorganisms that we need for natural fermentation in the intestines, which facilitates food digestion.
We decided to put a lot of good Asian cuisine on the shelves of the Healthy Food Factory. So check out what we have here.
Apart from the fact that some foods should be "stolen" from the Asian diet, it would also be good to become aware of food. Asians, and especially Chinese, never eat from their feet and never eat late at night. Their main meal is dinner around 18:00, which they rarely eat alone because it is a tradition to dine together. Green tea is consumed throughout the day (in average amounts). They have an excellent attitude towards nutrition and calorie intake - food is a carrier of valuable nutrients, not unwanted calories.
Rice with Vegetables and Meatballs
Rice with vegetables and meatballs in garlic sauce is a part of Asian cuisine. It is quick to prepare and very tasty.
I stew the vegetables in 1 tablespoon of butter, just enough to soften and not overcook!
I don't add salt, but add soy sauce! So, simmer for about 10 minutes!
Meatballs:
I season 1 kg of minced mixed meat with vegetables and pepper. Then, I add a spoonful of flour, one egg, and 2 -heads of onion.
You have to knead the mixture like you are kneading bread. Otherwise, it will fall apart!
Make balls from the mixture and fry in hot oil until golden brown.
Garlic Sauce:
Fry a piece of garlic in oil (don't let the onion darken)
Add 1- tablespoon of flour and fry for a few more seconds.
Add about 2dl of milk. If the sauce is thick, you can add more milk.
Put a small teaspoon of salt and parsley; if someone likes, you can add a few drops of vinegar.
Pleasant!
