DIY Frosted Jar Lantern Centerpiece

Milena Kukurekovic

There are numerous reasons for doing-it-yourself: budget, excess time, but the best, and certainly the healthiest motive would be expressing creativity. Sometimes, what you need, is just a hint of an idea and the possibilities, visions, and designs are becoming endless. Today, enjoy spending time in creating a beautiful frosted jar lantern centerpiece.

Materials:

  • Large wide-mouth glass jar
  • Elastic rubber bands
  • Frosted glass spray
  • Battery-operated twinkle lights
  • Faux florals

Instructions:

Wash out the jar and remove any labels from it.

Stretch elastic bands around the jar. Make sure that they are lying flat against the glass. Now, criss-cross some of the rubber bands over each one and create a “wrapped” design.

Spray 2 coats of the Frosting spray all over the outside of the jar. Let it dry for 15-20 minutes. Make sure you follow the instructions on the can.

Remove the elastic bands from the jar, carefully.

Add in the twinkle lights and faux florals to the jar.
